Halliburton Did Work On Deepwater Horizon Rig Hours Before Blowout

From the LA Times.

Investigators delving into the possible cause of the massive gulf oil spill are focusing on the role of Houston-based Halliburton Co., the giant energy services company, which was responsible for cementing the drill into place below the water. The company acknowledged Friday that it had completed the final cementing of the oil well and pipe just 20 hours before the blowout last week.

  1. Though I really enjoyed the sensational Marvel Comic Book quality of the North Korean mini-sub attack, this, at least apparently, seems to be a more plausible smoking gun. At the same time, the idea of a South Korean offshore drilling rig leased to a British Petroleum company in American waters, with the lions share of the pumped petroleum going to South Korea might allow for a more cloak and dagger explanation, especially given the sinking of the South Korean ship by North Korea some weeks ago. Whatever the case, this is some pretty strong evidence that the boys at Halliburton were involved, Or perhaps this is simple a convenient way to offload the massive political damage to Obama on his erstwhile enemies. You really never know anymore in the house of smoke and mirrors that the US of A has become. Thanks for the informative post as usual.

  2. They also worked on the Montaro rig prior to it's accident. The Montara oil spill last year was Australia’s third worst, after tanker spills in 1975 and 1991, and its worst from offshore oil production
